Phonology and Phonotactics[edit | edit source]
These languages are highly tonal, all or most containing seven tones : ˦, ˧, ˨, ˨˦, ˦˨˧, ˥˧, ˧˦˨. Languages have a CV(C) syllable structure.

Highly isolating and very analytic languages. VSO word order. Morphemes differentiated by tone of vowels. Head-final. Has numerous classifiers.
